Lets make the headline short: ALWAYS VALIDATE IN PERL, BUT MAYBE VALIDATE IN JAVASCRIPT ALSO Why? Because some really annoying person is going to avoid using your Javascript, and send you bogus information. Don't think that because you use Javascript that you're safe!
