I did, it needs a shared library not on my old box.

Requires 64-bit hardware.  What is scary is that I don't have exactly the
same server running anywhere else (I have backup hardware only), and this
has become a very critical production server I can't mess with (too much).  

The new replacement is on order, with a new model and new OS, but until that
arrives, and until everything is ported over, I'm stuck.  I have been, and
will continue to do my socket stuff in C until something better comes along.
I was hopefull that Perl would provide a way to quickly do an RPC from unix
to windows, to eliminate my need to remote shell and do all the admin that
requires.
