An Interesting problem - What I do is have my mail filter my lists into the requisite folders and then go at them as I have time - that way they are not in the main /var/mail directory - and hence avoid most of what has been a part of 'the concern' .... The backside of that question of course is whether or not one should always respond to the list - or just the user - or both. I think we generally debate this about every sixty days - but this time I don't see that we have come any further. I like Dan's general idea - but the problem seems to be that beginner's who are new to perl are also new to perl notation schema and would not already know his very witty, albeit, saterical solution. Clearly if folks knew enough to know which basic documentation sub structure they should have read - they may not have enough to know how to appropriate catagorize their 'issue'..... As we keep seeing time and again - they post with a subject line, which upon deeper inspection - says that they have been chasing the bug where the light is brightest - not where the bug lives.... I still say we upgrade the quality of all beginner's - at least to Dan's most excellent standard.... ciao drieux --- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
