Hi

I have written a program to monitor logs. Here I am substituting the file name
dynamically
say :
/asffasddas/asdfadssdaf/logfiles/safdfsda/asdsdaf/fadsdsafasdffdsar_asdffdsa_asfdfsad_asfdfsda.log

would be: _fadsds

So, I am not getting logic to capture this name

Hope I am clear of my explanation

Regards
Sreedhar

Please send all replies to the list, not to me directly.

Good -- so you recognize what you don't want. That's a start.

Ok. So, as I asked before, please state precisely and completely what
you *do* need, and *what code you have tried so far*.

Not a chance.

Write your own program and I & the list will be happy to help, but this
list does not exist to do people's jobs for them. Sorry.

If you have code that isn't working, I'd be happy to help you work
through whatever the problem may be, but I'm not going to take your
vaguely defined requirements and do your job for you. Sorry.
