I can't express my dissapointment on how the bn_[IN|BD] issue has been dragged through the mud on Bugzilla. I would like to believe this has been a case of miscommunication and misunderstanding which can be resolved.
I am in no position to pass judgment on comments people made, but I honestly expected the Ankur members involved in this to act more maturely. Going forward I am requesting everyone to agree on a solution to this issue and present it to MLP staff together. I would like to propose as a solution that all of you can discuss, and please don't start another flame war if you don't agree with me. But before that I would like to make some comments, and I would like you all to consider them with a cool head. I think it is great that SM and Runa is working for RedHat, and if anything we should be happy for them. But we should all understand that they now have professional obligations, and some of their actions may be based on them. There is nothing wrong about that, as long as it is clear to all of us because we also consider them as part of Ankur. Otherwise it may cause misunderstanding like the one we have in our hands. As for Omi, I think some of us misunderstood him at the beginning when he was affiliated with another group, mainly due to the dubious actions of that group. He may not have the same level of trust among the group members in Ankur yet, but personally I sincerely believe he is working with the same goals as rest of us. He has been working with Ekushey for a long time, and we have to understand that he does not need be part of Ankur exclusively. As for the solution I would like to propose - have one Mozilla l10n project for Bangla with Runa, SM, Omi, and Jamil as coordinators. If Mozilla l10n is anything like GNOME/KDE then we can have all the common translation in bn, and anything specific to Indian/Bangladesh can go to bn_IN/bn_BD. If this is not a technically viable soulition, then lets discuss it and come up with different solution. I am sure there are details that need to worked out, but we, or four of you, can deal with them. But please propose one single solution to MLP staff.
