Please let him know that the Bangla issue is not fixed yet in freefont-ttf-20051206.tar.gz. I fixed it in my end, but didn't uploaded it. I sent it to the core developers for CVS submissions. I believe it will be uploaded after other Indic scripts goes into it properly. So it would be better to wait a few more days.

[5], [6], [7] where taken using the current freefont in the debian
archive after stripping Bengali glyphs (u981:u9fa both from
FreeSans.ttf and FreeSerif.ttf), and using MuktiNarrow.ttf and
MuktiNarrowBold.ttf as you previously suggested.
Anirban Da, told us to stay with Ekushey's MuktiNarrow. Did you informed him about it? The latest MuktiNarrow can be found from http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ekushey/MuktiNarrow_11-08-2005.ttf?download

Is up to you to decide which one is better.

I think staying with FreeFonts would be better.
