My Dunbar, now almost 8, also has had some changes in his kidneys. He was put
on the NF. Previously, he was on a very high quality food and raw mix. The NF
has a very high corn content which caused an allergic reaction (runny eyes,
itching.) I switched him to a high quality senior (they usually have lower
protein) and the symptoms went away. His kidney values have stabilized. So,
the caveat is to be careful when you use those 'prescription' diets.

At a recent agility trial, he got another AXJ leg with a second place, 9 seconds
under course time. The senior food hasn't slowed him down a bit!
