Joe, Hi! Don't worry he's still a kid & dogs like their own. Next time you meet another dog you have him sit & say not now and then ply him with treats for staying sit & not greeting! But make sure you let him meet & greet & have fun sometimes after the sit! Gradually repeat the same weaning down the treats to one or two . But remember he does need the interaction so let him enter it after down for awhile & sometimes right away. I have both a Bernese & Newfie age 6 1/2 Yrs. They are Pet partners & have been there. Don't discourage the social abilties it's what makes them able to be Therapy Dogs! Diana V., Theo & Emma
