When we got our first berners about 8 years ago, our lives changed! First..... we had to get a van that carried two crates for show; Second.... a home on 3 acres of cool woods so they can enjoy nature; Third.... a high fence to keep them happy running and jumping , safely; Fourth.... a new wardrobe to go with berner fur and shows; Fifth.... motorhome to stay in at the dogshows and for friends to hang out. Sixth.... many books on dog diets and medical issues; Seventh.... replacing the carpet with wood floors and throw rugs;
And now I am hearing that leather furniture is the best way to go with dogs that need to recline on one's furnishings!?! <vbg> I already have a couch and chair picked out!!!!! Just want to say here, that you guys are great and I love your ideas and suggestions! The only problem is 'my husband'. HE NEEDS A NEW JOB OR A SECOND JOB TO FUND ALL THIS! I would go out and get a job again, but am too busy with the dogs, house cleaning, shopping for dogs and us, checking the outside, van, motorhome, and keeping our clothes neat! Who would take over??? <vbg> But loving every moment of it!! Carol......lost in paradise somewhere in North Carolina with two happy berners and a husband who is the bestest in the world!!
