Bring a device in for service?  With the morons at the store?

Just call AT&T and get a new device shipped out.  Much easier deal with the 
techs online, than the people who in the store who probably wont have warranty 
exchange parts anyhow...

When the device goes back they don't look at it other than to make sure the 
white label hasn't turned red...

I think Jason is more pointing towards the fact that if you bring a
device in for service and it does not have an offical carrier software
release, you could run into somne resistance.

I share is sentiment, particularly when it comes to company owned
devices. No need to make my job more difficuly!
