I haven't done this from BPS to BESX, but it worked from BPS to BES 5.
Setup a virtual server with BESX then run the migration tool to migrate
users to the new database. Make sure they are running at least 4.5,
otherwise you'll end up re-activating. Once this has been done, upgrade
your server from BPS to BESX and migrate the users again. I have to
upgrade a server in this way, and will be trying this exact procedure,
or something similar to it.

Subject: [Bes-admins] Moving from BPS to BES Express

Hi there, I was hoping for some guidance.
I am planning on moving from BPS to BES Express on the same server, and
I was told by RIM that I need to uninstall BPS, and then do a security
wipe on my handhelds before I can activate them on BES Express.
My question is, can I just remove them from BPS and then reactivate the
devices on BES Express without doing the wipe?

Thanks for your help!
