No problems.

There is a bit of manual work to be done to actually track where the device is
on the planet, but here are the steps I took. I'm also using Excel 2010.

Open Excel
Click on the Data tab in the Ribbon
Click From other sources - From SQL Server
Enter in your SQL server name and credentials if required, click Next
Select your BlackBerry database
Choose the SyncLBS table, click Next
Click next then finish

This should give you the following (generic details in the table):

Id UserConfigId RecordType RecordTimestamp ServerTime Latitude Longitude
Altitude DeviceStatus Data

1 1 1 0 1295500007 0 0 0 0
6 3 1 0 1296514986 0 0 0 0
4 22 1 0 1294876436 0 0 0 0
5 23 1 0 1294876665 0 0 0 0
2 26 1 0 1289522205 0 0 0 0
3 31 1 0 1292553189 0 0 0 0

UserConfigID is the UserID on the BES server, I’ve only done manual match ups
here.

The Latitude and Longitude are strings, you’ll need to enter decimal points
manually.

You can then use www.findlatitudeandlongitude.com to locate the device on the
planet.

I’m still working on how to better match the UserConfigID with the real user
account name, and a better method of displaying latitude and longitude.

Cheers,

Michael,

Could you email me directly the steps you took to make this work?  I'm curious
to see what information we can pull.

Thanks,

Mike

You can use Excel 2003/2007 and use the OBDC connection to SQL and perform your
query that way. I do believe it works the same in MYSQL as SQL.
