Hi Stefan, thanks for your quick response. The problem is when I go into Configure security to SET UP the mirror it fails with "the server network address "TCP://SQL-xxx-01.xxx.xxx.xxxx:5022" cannot be reached or does not exist. Check the network address and that the ports for the local and remote endpoints are operational (MS Sql Server, Error:1418)
Now I know its NOT a connectivity issue as a. we dont have firewalls between the two trusted VLANs b. I can telnet to the remote SQL box on 5022. So if I can't configure security I presume mirroring is NOT set up yet, or not done correctly.
