If you use the host file on your BES to help the SRP address resolve to its IP
then make sure you change the IP there also.  Ping the new SRP address to get
the target IP.

Don’t forget to change the host file.

where is it exactly in the server config?  The KB article on RIM I saw just had
the reg key listed?

Yes--you just need to change it in the server config tool and restart the
router service.  You can check logs too, but when you change it in the server
config, there is a 'test connection' button that will ping it to confirm it
connects ok.

Once the SRP address is updated is a restart of any service needed?  Am i
correct to assume that the Blackberry router service would need a restart, then
watch the router log to confirm that there are no issues with connecting to the
new SRP DNS name?

I updated mine from srp.us.blackberry.net to us.srp.blackberry.com with no
issue about two weeks ago.  I went under the assumption that it would be better
to switch now instead of waiting until they changed and then end up trying to
chase down the issue.

Hope this helps.
