Out of the 33 BB's I admin all are receiving current emails and have been since
7:00am CST today. BES indicates there are no more "Pending Packets" however I
don't believe all the undelivered emails have been delivered to the devices.
At least I know I haven't seen all of mine. In RIM's Press Conference they
said they were concentrating on getting emails going again and backlog would be
delivered eventually.

I've got emails coming through with a bit of delay, LookUps are working, but my
BBM still isn't operational - I'm in Boston.

Is everyone still seeing issues? I'm not confident that RIM will let us know
when their queues are back to normal.

It's over; as stated, nothing new. Americas are seeing the slowness due to the
Europe back logs. They stated they would not "clean/drop" any emails and would
clear the backlogs as normal. All email will be delivered. They are throttling
the European region, but nowhere else. Currently they don't know if any
customer reimbursement will occur. No ETA/ETR was given for any region.

I had a huge delivery of messages at 2339 BST - about 9 hours ago - and message
flow seems ok since then. Still can't seem to do activations or address lookups.

Hi all,

Playbooks.

Yes, we know there have been / are problems with RIM's service but we will be
sticking with them for the foreseeable future.

A couple of us attended the "Enterprising Minds" forum yesterday in London's
Excel Conference Centre and suddenly the light went on in my Line Managers
head. He finally understands what a Playbook can do. (Sheesh!).

He now understands that tethering the Playbook to a handset is a good thing for
security of data and not just a sign that the tablet's software is not ready
for release, so we are now looking to assess Playbooks for corporate release.

A virtual BPAS server will have to be built (it's free!) , firewall rules
changed and of course, IT policies drawn up and published, then of course the
procurement of some pilot devices and the games can commence.

I must admit I'm quite enthused by the idea as it may save us money previously
used for underutilised laptops and will increase my skillset and as we are
going through outsourcing consultations at the moment any extra strings to my
bow will be useful, but my question to you all is: Have any of you guys decided
to implement Playbooks on a corporate basis, and if so, have you spotted any
pitfalls?

I'm interested to hear your thoughts.

Cheers

Engin
