This is my understanding as well. From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Darhl Thomason Sent: Tuesday, April 03, 2012 9:48 AM To: '[email protected]'; [email protected] Subject: Re: [Bes-admins] Mobile Fusion
OK, so: BB10 = Fusion CAL iPhone = Fusion CAL Android = Fusion CAL BB7 & below = BES CAL Is that right? And if I have someone on a BB today using a BES CAL and they move to an iPhone tomorrow, then I have to get a Fusion CAL, I can't 'transfer' over the BES CAL? Licensing is so confusing! d Darhl Thomason | SysAdmin | Business Technology Papa Murphy's Int'l. | d 360-449-4044 | c 360-607-5617 | www.papamurphys.com<http://www.papamurphys.com> From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> [mailto:[email protected]]<mailto:[mailto:[email protected]]> On Behalf Of Jason Hurlburt Sent: Tuesday, April 03, 2012 6:36 AM To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Subject: Re: [Bes-admins] Mobile Fusion I went to one of their sales pitches about Fusion last month - Fusion server is going to support BB10 phones, BES will not. So you need a CAL for Fusion for BB10 phones, otherwise you need a CAL for the BES for older phones. If I understood it correctly (and maybe I didn't, they weren't very clear) Fusion is going to act as a central management point for various services: Android, iOS, BB10, and BES (for older phones). Upgrade your BlackBerry Enterprise Server before March 30, 2012 to take advantage of limited-time offers." So I already bought a BES CAL, if I want to use Mobile Fusion for the people that want to stay on BB instead of migrating to iPhone or Android I have to buy another CAL for Mobile Fusion? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ #1 Rated Pizza Chain" - ZAGAT 2010 & 2011 National Restaurant Chains Survey _______________________________________________ Bes-Admins mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> http://www.dataoutages.com/mailman/listinfo/bes-admins http://www.dataoutages.com http://www.dataoutagenews.com RSS Feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/Bes-admins --------------------------------- Bes-Admins mailing list is sponsored by Dataoutagenews.com. http://www.dataoutagenews.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ #1 Rated Pizza Chain" - ZAGAT 2010 & 2011 National Restaurant Chains Survey Notice: This e-mail message, together with any attachments, contains information of Merck & Co., Inc.
