Can't you install  a new server with the same name, run BES Setup and let it 
detect it's the standby instance for your cluster? That's the way I'd do it, 
haven't read the docs mind you :)

Recently our VM team upgraded hardware on one of our standby servers, after 
upgrade and reboot system blue screened.

Benn searching for a way to bring a new standby server into the fold, want to 
point it to primary bes that lost its standby. so far no luck, has anyone done 
this or seen a kb on how to?

any and all help is appreciated.
