Tom, I googled and found some reports that under windows, some
programs can open and grab clipboard and forget to release so
that other programs cannot use the system clipboard. The jqt
crashed because it assumes the system clipboard is always
available. Can you also google to search any means of cleaning
up the system clipboard?
There are 2 component that need updates. one is JAL updated
using pacman, and the other is the jqt/qt binaries. Please see
the jwiki for qt ide/install
for help menu, can you try stop all anti-virus and firewall and
test if that will fix it?
