Like some others I have been puzzled with the handling of mono spaced fonts
for Jqt. Most contributors to this thread appear to have either Linux or OS
machines. Menlo appears to be an Apple font, and unlikely to be on Windows
machines.
JVERSION
Engine: j701/2011-01-10/11:25
Library: 8.01.011
Qt IDE: 1.0.7
Platform: Win 32
Installer: j801 beta install
InstallPath: c:/users/fraser/j801
On this machine Menlo is not available but DejaVu Sans Mono which differs
from it very little is available.
This is one matter which should not require additional user input for a
default installation. If there is a modern font available across the
operating systems that would be fine, but if not then downloading and
installing an appropriate font should be a part of the installation process.
The Edit/Session Font menu item provides good control for advanced users,
but the new user should not have to go near it.
