Thank you, Bill. Your last example was a breakthrough for me. I still don't fully grasp what a "bin" is, but now I can play with it and make things happen. I trapped my thinking by assuming that "bin" statements only began or ended a bin.
When I started with this "wd" was not in "z" but now it is. Don't know what happened to change that. It is fine that blanks are ignored in "bin" but other characters are ignored too. Not sure what to think about that. And "escclose" is not working for me on "pc".
