The new j804-mac64 installer worked nicely and quickly. However, there are (some of) he usual issues with non-Apple, not-signed-by-Apple apps:
(1) Right-clicking the jcon.app item and then clicking to Open it gives pop-up error window: '"console" can't be opened because CoreServicesUIAgent is not allowed to open documents in Terminal.' Fix: Open j64-804/bin, right-click jconsole item and then click to say Open it. From then on, double-clicking jcon.app works normally. (2) Right-clicking the jhs.app item and choosing Open gives pop-up error windows ' "jhs.command" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer....' Fix: Open j64-804/bin, right-click jhs.command, get pop-up saying it's "...from an unidentified developer. Are you sure you want to open it?", click Open does open it. From then on, double-clicking jhs.app works normally. Oddly, just double-clicking jqt.app works OK first time! With previous versions, I seem to recall having to carry out the same work-arounds to the OS X default setting for "Allow apps downloaded from..." in Security & Privacy > General. It would be good to say something about this in the installation instructions. > On 17 Aug 2015 16:33:29 -0700,chris burke <[email protected]> wrote: > > A new J804 beta is available for Windows, Linux and OSX 64 10.7 and later. > Install from www.jsoftware.com/download/j804/install. > > This should fix problems reported earlier, and includes an All-In-One > installer for OSX.
