It looks as if the problem starts with SVN 968, although there are
compile problems going back to about 945. gcc seems to work ok,
although it complains about various things. I included some examples
before, which I'll repeat here:
(<;._3) 2 2 2$1 2 3 NB. is ok
(<;._3) 2 2 2$1 2 3 4 NB. is index error
(<;._3) 2 2$1 2 3 4 NB. is ok
(<;._3) 2 2 2 2$1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 NB. is ok
and similar results for 'abcd...' replacing 1 2 3 4... except it fails
with "domain error" instead.
I don't really have a feeling for what ";." does, so if you have any
suggestions of things to try, let me know.

If that runs OK, then there is perhaps some problem/difference with the
build from gpl source that you are testing.
