YEA!!!
With your help (and no thanks to my old Safari— which it seems Apple doesn’t 
even keep the help files on line—and a lot of help from Terminal and curl -O) I 
got http://www.jsoftware.com/download/jengine/j901-beta/darwin/j64/libj.dylib 
into my J901/bin directory an got my grey J icon to work. Then load ‘pacman’ 
followed by je_update_jpacman_ ‘’ (and a second time after restarting j, 
perhaps unnecessarily since I don’t want avx) and I seem to have a working 
beta. Thanks very much!
