You need Suse 9.1 (or later) to get 2.3.4. I'd rather not link to an older
glibc for various reasons and unless there are lots of problems we'll stick
to the requirement for more current builds.

Subject: Re: [Jbeta] j601 on SuSE 9.0 Linux
I did (now), but this reveal a deeper problem
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~> ~/j601/jconsole
/home/ns/j601/jconsole: /lib/i686/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3.4' not
found (required by /home/ns/j601/jconsole)
This dependancy means that j610 is only compatible with newer Linices. I
this necessary?

I've been using J504 because j601 won't run on my SuSE 9.0 Linux.
For jconsole I get this message:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~> ~/j601/jconsole
/home/ns/j601/jconsole: error while loading shared libraries:
libj601.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Did you move libj601.so to /usr/lib?
