What use would history be if we could not edit it? Would be senseless.
The whole point of intelligence is to abstract the lessons from the past.

Hopefully we get better tools as we proceed. 3 ring binders and a glue
pot did ok in their day, but now we should have hypertext and popups
with live media snips all in the purpose of chunking down the deluge
of data.
