I always thought f. was a good idea because a tacit definition with user 
names in an implied loop can run noticeably slower than its f. version.  
In the non-f. version, user names must be looked up again in every pass 
through the implied loop.  I have long thought efforts to speed name 
look-ups would be a good investment to improve J's performance.
