There is also a close action on a window in Pocket PC,
the same as the [X] on the desktop.
It is produced by either your favorite task
manager or from
Start|Settings|Memory|Running Programs.
Task manager will also allow to switch to
the IJX window where maybe a wdreset will help.

Task manager will show, which window is on
top now. In the above case, it's most probably
that you see the menu of the undercooked user
window rather than the session manager.

PocketPC hint: a soft reset is analogous to a reboot for a desktop. If
things are really messed up, do a reboot. It varies by machine, but
typically you poke the stylus in a small hole in the back.
