>From the problem Eric was describing, it sounded as though the "mess" was caused by Vista writing to a virtual backing store in home if a non-admin program writes a file to "program files...". If the program doing the writing had Administrator rights, is the file written to the virtual backing store or not? If not, then I would have thought the problem described was solved? Of course, as I said before, I have limited knowledge of Vista and there may be other issues.
