Just to confirm, I notice that the "-jijx" parameter now has to immediately
follow the "J" (J executable) parameter on a command-line in order to run
without a session window. Prior to 6.02, I could put this parameter
anywhere, the order didn't matter. Since the current behavior is as it is
(has always been?) documented, though this is ambiguous, this is not a bug
but it does mean I have to change many of my J invocations.

In general, I was pleased at how smoothly the installation of 6.02 went,
preserving (most of) my defaults. What it didn't preserve was changes I had
made to my profile, so this is to be expected.
