On my Powerpc Mac I am having a little trouble with
the jconsole install. I followed the tip in
file:///Users/brian/j602/help/user/install.htm which
recommends the following.

"For easy Jconsole start, create a symbolic link in a folder
in PATH. For example,
...$ ln -s ~/j602/bin/jconsole jc
...$ sudo mv jc /usr/bin/jc
"

My attempt to follow those instructions follow.

[6:11pm brian~]% ln -s ~/j602/bin/jconsole jc
[6:12pm brian~]% sudo mv jc /usr/bin/jc
Password:
[6:12pm brian~]% jc

OK? wc? no
   [6:13pm brian~]%

Above when I typed jc I got the "OK? wc? no" reply
and when I respond with just a <return> I get jconsole just
fine. But I would like to avoid the "OK? ...." step.

Slightly unrelatedly, I can no longer find
instructions for using the gray icon or its associated
executable for having another text only version of J.

Thanks,

(B=)
