A jhs user has two file systems: client and server. In what I consider to be the 'common' case now, where jhs is running on the client, the 2 files systems are the same. I assume your question is about jhs running on a different system and your question is about loading a script from the client system. This has not been addressed in the current jhs. Right now, as a brute force workaround, you could open your file in some local editor and cut/paste into a jhs ijs window. This manually gives you a copy of the file on the server. This process could be somewhat automated but for browser security reasons will always require a manual step. A better solution will be to enhance jhs to use the standard browser 'file upload' facility to select a file on the local system for uploading to the server..
Doing anything with client files will always (assuming browser security is working) require specific user actions. The browser is not allowed automatic access to local files.
