I could not duplicate the gtk problem. In this case, I suspect the bug
is due to something else, not just trying to scroll down. Please try to
give me a simple example.

Note, any gtk error messages are bugs, please report them.

I could not see how to duplicate the behavior of J6 in allowing you to
scroll past the text boundaries. There may be a gtk option for this, but
I could not find it.
