I had a brief search but didn't find anything specific. Then I had a "brainwave" and thought to try Internet Explorer (it is such a dog that I never use it and had forgotten about it). I was successfully able to log in, but didn't seem to be able to get to link to any pages after that. If I tried any of the links I got sent back to the login screen. Anyway that points to the issue being with Opera Mobile (or an interaction of it with my device) I'll investigate further when I get the chance.
