Not sure either way! I agree that gdk is not too bad, but one of the impressive things about J is how responsive the plots are. Although, the difference between a bit less than 1 second and 2 seconds sounds small, the perceived difference is quite big when working with interactive windows. It would be a shame to go backwards! If we did want to retain a gdi option for Windows, then using the crossplatform gl2 cover functions from media/platimg would mean most of the work is already done? > I cannot reproduce the gtkinit bug in gdk or cairo in gtkide, how did > you get the bug?
