protocol for gtk library using in platimg conflicts with that in
gui/gtk. And I'm not sure if that is 64-bit compatible.  Some verbs
still be missing in order to implement an plot output.  However I'm
afraid that I'm not going to work for that and it depends on you or
others to do the job.  BTW there are already complaint that gl2
used in plot is slow. ;-)
