I like my updated 128x128 icons much better than the 48x48 icons. I find the Term and Note additions helpful for picking them out quickly in the alt-tab list.
I think the 128x128 plain J is better than the 48x48 icons. I don't have a strong feeling for setting a default. I think either of the 128x128 icons would be ok. The icons can be changed relatively easily, so folks can put in whatever they like.
