This is a murky area. At least for me. The Android work has gone in the direction of making the UNAME Android. Maybe right, or maybe a mistake. I think Android is Linux on an Android architecture.
I think iOS as Darwin on an iOS architecture. For at least this first release, the iPhone/iPad/iTouch are UNAME Darwin. IFIPAD and IFRETINA are defined. In the next beta, IFIOS will be defined.
