Thanks I just got the update on the fixed bug in firmware 27.
I checked on this site and it looks like firmware is usually coupled
with the slimserver releases. How does one force a firmware update and
when exactly will it be available tonight? Is there a regular release
time?
You are correct, firmware is tied with the software builds. Nightly
builds are run each night between midnight and 1am pacific standard
time.
firmware 27 will be included in that. When you download it, install
and restart, your players will all tell you to press-and-hold the
brightness key. press the brightness key and hold it until the player
reacts (about 5 seconds or so) then you can walk away as the firmware
uploads and the player reboots. After about a minute or so, enjoy
track changing wma goodness.
