I'm guessing that "image/jpg" should read "image.jpg".

Looks more like the image data is instead being supplanted by the content type.
Maybe a problem with your tags???

it could be. worth a double check with tag&rename, or something as good.

Problem started only with 6.5, though. The music files are old, and the tags haven't been changed in a year or more.

that may be true, but the fact remains that this is one file that fails out of many that work. Recent changes may have simply cleaned up what used to be more forgiving. It is still worth checking and comparing with another of your files that work, since you alone have those files and that setup. It is always worth a look, even if only to ensure that you don't feel like a complete idiot after asking others to spend hours guessing at the problem, pouring over code with files that work without a problem trying to think through each of the hundreds of possible ways some other file could cause a problem, only to find out that it was a slightly faulty tag that used to be simply dropped in the past and is being bad now because the server tries harder to get all artwork. No one is denying that it could be in the code, and no one is saying "it is your tags" just so they can ignore your issue. I have 1200 albums, 702 of which have artwork tags, 702 of which are listed in teh browse artwork and none of which cause a crash.

you can also file a bug and attach the problem file.
