By muddling around in the depths of my Cube's filesystem, I discovered where (most) SlimServer related files live, especially those in my home directory.
I deleted them all and reinstalled tonight's nightly, and FW33 is marveling since then. It is not obvious that some files are in 'Caches'. Even FW29 will work after that.
