I'm on Perl 5.8.5. Do you think the OpenLink firmware is the way to go?
I'm still on the buffalo firmware (1.45 or 1.46). So the steps would be to: 1) download the appropriate firmware (for me ppc hlan) from: http://linkstationwiki.org/downloads/openlink/ 2) flash it http://linkstationwiki.org/Articles/GeneralFirmwareFlash 3) Download the slimserver nightly (6.5b) http://www.slimdevices.com/dev_nightly.html 4) Untar to a clean /mnt/slimserver directory 5) delete /mnt/slimserver/CPAN/DBI.pm Can you confirm the following: - you didn't need to downgrade your perl (from 5.8.7 to 5.8.5) using the tar on fieldnetworks.com? - you didn't install extra packages from linkstationwiki.org (e.g. development tools or slimserver modules).
