OK, I've now had all units running for 8 hours on wireless and no problems.
Having tried everything I could think of I started to think that the problem may be the PC itself. I switched off the virus guard and firewall but still no joy. I removed software added since the start of the problem (as Slim runs on a stand alone PC there wasn't much to remove) but still no joy. Finally I used a registry cleaner and since running this the problem seems to have stopped. I say seems to because I'm currently on 6.2.1 (but the problem did occur in all versions).
