Switched to 6.5b1 and within a few hours two of the units had stopped and on one the display becamed scrambled.
On a more positive note I was able to start all players using the remote and the units respond to chnages at the server. Out of desperation I decided to give the latest nightly a go in a hope that this problem would go away, I did and it didn't. I tried to think back to when te problem started and came to conclusion that I may as well try rolling the firmware back to 28. The result is that for 14 hours all the units have behaved properly with no failures. In a nutshell I'm running SlimServer Version: 6.5b1 - 6661 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252 with firmware 28 and my depression seems to be lifting.
