I'm assuming that by "external MySQL" it is meant "a mysqld not shipped
with
SlimServer". Please correct my understanding if that is not the case.
I ask because
for some of the "supported" platforms (e.g., OpenBSD), binaries are no
longer
distributed. Specifically, mysqld. If my understanding of "external
MySQL
server" is correct, then that might be argued to be a contradiction.
For instance,
the Transporter which requires SlimServer 6.5 implies support of Linux,
BSD,
and Solaris by being listed under "System Requirements". And
SlimServer 6.5,
as per it's present beta change notes, indicates no longer shipping
binaries
for FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and Solaris.

No big deal to me. I was just thrown by reading your response and
figured
that either I don't understand what is meant by "external MySQL" or
perhaps
SlimServer support of platforms other than Windows, OS X, and Linux is
being dropped.
