OK, so I was completely wrong about 6.5 hiccupping on some of my
library. My previously mentioned problem was entirely due to my having
left all the cuesheets that I had extracted to build my test library
lying around where Slimserver could get confused by them. My latest
scan by 6.5 seems to be perfect, but I'll do some more extensive
checking over the next couple of days.

Ok - good to know.

So, the bulk of the time to load that genre page is spent just
compiling the album, song, artist counts. And yes, that's 21 MILLION
rows examined. Something's wrong there. I'm using MySQL
5.0.24a-community-max-nt. If I could find an ODBC driver that worked
with MySQL 5 and the Slimserver datatypes, I could debug that query. As it stands, I really don't know what is going on.

Just to rule it out, could you try running with the built in MySQL?

Thanks
