I keep reading tantalizing posts about multi-genre tagging support in SlimServer, but I haven't been able to coax it into working. I experimentally set the genre of a flaced album to "Jazz;Jazz-Vocal". Upon re-scan the Genres lists "Jazz;Jazz-Vocal" as a genre. I expected the album to show up under the genre Jazz and the genre Jazz-Vocal. (Is this wrong?) I have tried: (a) removing the GENRE tag from the flac file so that it is only in the cuesheet; (b) eliminating the dash in case something didn't like it; (c) formatting the REM GENRE line in the cuesheet in various ways--Jazz;JazzVocal, "Jazz;JazzVocal", "Jazz";"JazzVocal", "Jazz"; "JazzVocal" (i.e. space after the semicolon), "Jazz; JazzVocal"--and rescanning, both for new/changed and a complete rebuild the library scan. In all cases, the whole GENRE tag, including the semicolon, is taken as a string literal. Is this a bug, or am I missing something? -- stephenkca ------------------------------------------------------------------------ stephenkca's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7820 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29043 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
