I am suddenly getting an entirely unstable SlimServer behaviour -
running version 6.5.1. latest nightly on ubuntu linux. The display on
the SB shows lost contact to slimserver and then appears to reconnect
again before losing contact once more on a steady 8-10 second cycle.
The log shows the following repeated multiple times:
Malformed UTF-8 character (fatal) at /usr/share/perl5/Text/Unidecode.pm
line 40.
2006-11-05 10:57:32.9210 DBI::db=HASH(0xa2d1d44)->disconnect
invalidates 1 active statement handle (either destroy statement handles
or call finish on them before disconnecting) at
/usr/share/perl5/Slim/Schema.pm line 247.
FYI the contents of Line 40 of Unidecode.pm are as follows:
$x =~ s~([^\x00-\x7f])~${$Char[ord($1)>>8]||t($1)}[ord($1)&255]~egs;
And the contents of Line 247 of /usr/share/perl5/Slim/Schema.pm are:
eval { $class->storage->dbh->disconnect };
The only thing I have done today which coincides with the failure is to
edit some playlists. Prior to this my set up had been rock solid for
weeks.
