I have the same problem. Since upgrading to OSX 10.4.9, Slimserver will not work. I cannot even access it by looking for http://localhost:9000/ in Safari any more (Safari can't open the page "http://localhost:9000/"; because it could not connect to the server "localhost".).
The firewall is configured to allow access through ports 9000, 9090 and 3483. Nothing else has changed apart from updating to OSX 10.4.9. I have tried reinstalling Slimserver 6.5.1. The installation process runs smoothly, but it still doesn't work. The Squeezebox has no problem accessing my wireless router, as I can use Squeezenetwork without difficulty. When I enter "lsof -i" via Terminal I get the following: COMMAND PID USER FD TYPE DEVICE SIZE/OFF NODE NAME mysqld 206 mini 13u IPv4 -x-24dde8c 0t0 TCP localhost:9092 (LISTEN) I have also tried running: sudo cpan Storable , but this hasn't helped either.
