- Merging companies takes time.
- Introducing new developers takes time.
- They lost one of the lead developers in Dan Sully, I'm sure that
slowed them down a bit.
- Using volunteers and contractors that already knows the software
seems like a good idea to keep the development speed up until they have
introduced their own resources.
- They are probably also focused on introducing the SqueezeBox in the
Logitech sales channels.
- I'm not sure how easy it is to find skilled perl developers, if this
is hard it might take longer time to introduce a lot of new developers.

I suspect this is some of the reasons why we aren't seeing much
progress visible on the surface at the moment. But I still also suspect
there is something going on which we aren't aware of, it might be Jive
related stuff it might be SqueezeNetwork related stuff or something
completely different. But SlimDevices/Logitech has declared in other
threads that SlimServer will be there in the future, so I don't believe
they are working on some hidden software that is supposed to completely
replace SlimServer.
