Is this with every movement or just the first time you move your mouse over IE?

The skin never really is idle: it's updating player state every five seconds.

Please don't get me wrong, but I'd seriously recommend using FF instead of IE. 
That's not stupid browser bashing. But FF simply is so much faster than MSIE 
when executing JS. (and from a web designer's point of view there are a ton of 
even more important reasons!)

BTW: I just experienced what I assume is your issue. After having left MSIE6 in 
the background for a while it took seconds to follow the mouse cursor. I then 
refreshed the full page and was back in normal performance. It seems that MSIE 
has a problem with the background updates. I'll see whether I can free some of 
the event handlers or something.
